Steps:
Basic:
Restart Your Computer:
- A simple restart may resolve temporary glitches.
Disconnect New Hardware:
- Remove any recently added external devices (USB drives, external HDDs, etc.).
Intermediate:
Enter Safe Mode:
- Boot into Safe Mode by restarting and pressing
Shift + F8(or boot from a recovery USB). - Select
Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Enable Safe Mode.
Update Disk Drivers:
- In Safe Mode, open
Device Manager(Windows + X > Device Manager). - Expand
Disk drives, right-click your drive, and selectUpdate driver.

- Boot from a Windows installation USB/DVD.
- Open Command Prompt and run:
sfc /scannow DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
